A reading at the Lewisporte Library

On a weekend in January 2013 my wife and I went to Lewisporte to do a reading from my most recently published book, The Mark of Time. We drove to Trouty on Friday and spent the afternoon doing some renovations on our summer house there. Saturday mornig we arose bright and early and drove the three hours to Lewisporte. We had lunch at my sisters and then headed to the library.  I want to thank my sister, Brenda Blagdon, and aunt, Myrtice Alpen, for organizing the reading. There were about 25 people present and a lot of books were bought and signed. I am still getting used to doing readings.  Book signings are pretty comfortable now but it is quite daunting standing in front of a group of people and reading from something I have written.  It will get better with practice but at the moment it is a bit nerve wracking to say the least.

We then left Lewisporte and drove all the way back to St. John’s.  Luckily the weather was fine and we got home in time to sleep and head to the ‘day job’ in the morning.

If you were at the reading I would love to hear your comments on how it went, or on the book itself.  If you have read the book it would be great if you could go leave a review of the book on the site.

Thanks

Marshall
